Straight from Brazil

At the end of Brazilian GP yesterday, I spent 10 minutes with my family and friends to thank for all the support during the whole year. I also said them how important they are to me. It was a very special moment, because my feeling of the mission accomplished. I did all I could, and left my dear Interlagos track  with my head held high, pleased by receiving the huge affection from Brazilian fans during all the week.
 
No regrets, it was a great championship. This is a year to raise up the hands and thank God. After that time when people said I was already retired, in the beginning of the year, we managed to turns things around, winning races and fighting for the title. Of course, it was a very hard fight to win the home race. I only have to congratulate and thank all of them for the support, but I know they also left the day with their head held high.
 
Jenson opened a great advantage in the begining of the season, and, that´s why he won. In the second half, I was able to reverse the things to my side, but not enough to overcome him. It was a worthy and fought championship for him. A good guy.
 
Interlagos is the love of my life, and it always brought me good memories. This Saturday will be remembered as a special day. The qualifying was a struggle. In the race, even if the problem with the tyre didn´t happen, we had no performance to win, this is the true.
 
It was a huge learning, and it shows that, even in a moment like this, teach and learn is part of our lives. I have conscience that I did all that I could, not only in Brazil, but until now, and I go to Abu Dhabi with the same energy, courage and desire to win. I only have to thank all the Brazilian people for the huge affection and motivation.
